MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Friday attributed the immense volume of floodwaters that submerged several parts of Cebu during the onslaught of Typhoon Tino (international name: Kalmaegi) to some flood-control projects in the province.

He said this in a media statement following a situation briefing at Cebu Provincial Capitol.

Marcos blames Cebu flooding on failed flood control projects
President Marcos said the recent massive flooding in Cebu was due to ineffective flood control structures and called for an investigation.
