MANILA, Philippines — Typhoon Tino, internationally known as Kalmaegi, has left over 114 people dead, 127 others missing, and 82 others injured, the Office of Civil Defense said on Thursday.

Due to the effects of Tino, which has made seven landfalls since Tuesday, Central Visayas has declared a region-wide state of calamity.

Tino intensified further as it moved over the West Philippine Sea north of Kalayaan Islands and exited the Philippine area of responsibility.
