As of October 15, 2025, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) reported a total of 1,364 aftershocks following the magnitude 7.4 earthquake that struck offshore Manay, Davao Oriental on October 10. The tremor caused significant damage to homes and infrastructure, particularly in towns like Tarragona, where houses were visibly affected.

PHIVOLCS continues to monitor seismic activity in the region, noting that while most aftershocks are minor, some have been strong enough to be felt by residents. The agency urges caution and preparedness, especially in areas with vulnerable structures.
